Tree Plantation at Garbage Dumping Site - Sector 35, Kamothe (July 2026)

On 26th July 2026, in heavy monsoon rain, 6 Kasley Foundation volunteers showed up at Sector 35, opposite Mansarovar Building, Kamothe — a stretch that had long been abandoned to garbage, restaurant waste, and civic neglect.

They left 26 trees behind.

This patch of land had become a dumping ground — ignored by the Forest Department, overlooked by the corporation, and treated as nobody's responsibility. Rather than complaining, the team picked up spades, wore gloves, and chose to change what the land says about us.

What was done:

• 26 trees planted along the roadside stretch


• Garbage cleared from around each planting spot by hand


• Water basins created at the base of each tree for monsoon water retention


• All work done in continuous heavy rain — zero complaints, zero delays

A patch full of trash sends one message. A patch full of trees sends another. This is civic responsibility in action — not waiting for the government or the corporation to fix it, but picking up a spade and doing it yourself, rain or no rain.

This is part of Kasley Foundation's ongoing commitment to a cleaner, greener Navi Mumbai — one neglected patch of land at a time.
